We spent the weekend with friends and photography.

Many of our friends are photographers so most of our weekends are spent with friends and photography and what made this weekend unique is the annual Photo Night at Rob and Fran’s house. Spending time with friends from out of town was also a great bonus! They traveled from Chicago, San Antonio, Las Vegas, and Dallas to show pictures!

Photo Night went for about 8 hours on Saturday. I didn’t make it through the whole evening and what I did see was just wonderful. For me, any chance to see pictures of life (the world) around you especially wall-size and made by super-talented friends and colleagues is a not-to-miss opportunity.

And, that reminds me: I have to finish visiting a few online photo galleries showing their best pictures of 2006. Rob Galbraith DPI has “A Roundup of 2006 Pictures of the Year” worth checking out. Some have the option to vote on your favorite photo and if I could vote on the best presentation, it would go to The New York Times. Their overview section alone is powerful.
