In three days, my new press will arrive! I’m so excited! I’ve been waiting for nearly two weeks. It’s a table top letterpress made by the American Printing Company in Long Island. It’s about 250 lbs and the chase is 6 1/2 x 10. The previous owner had a lever made since there wasn’t one when he purchased it and it looks as if the blacksmith he hired seemed to have done a pretty good job. I’m still researching the press for more details.

I’m hoping to have my camera ready when the truck arrives and the crate gets placed at the bottom of my driveway. Maybe I can sweet-talk them into hauling it up the driveway? I hope everything stays intact and nothing is broken. Crossing all fingers and toes! Stay tuned. The press is on its way from Virginia!
