It’s not over and I can’t help thinking how quickly summer days pass. Summers are short here in Portland so we relish the warm (even hot) sun and long days because we know the rainy days are just around the corner. So, in honor of summer I thought I would post some photos from our ‘yarden’ as my husband likes to call it. Our ‘yarden’ has been my respite during times of peak stress. Being out there also gives my eyes a rest from scrutinizing details on the computer screen. Plus, I love the physical labor; the smell of dirt and the great pleasure in seeing how each plant grows and grows. Happy summer everyone. Enjoy!

It’s a bit out of focus (have to practice my wildlife shooting - grin) and isn’t he cute? This grasshopper was trying desperately to hide from me.
