Ta-da! My studio website is finally live. Whew. I bet my husband has been wondering what it would take to pry me away from the computer!

I taught myself some CSS, XHTML (from a book) and used SlideShowPro for the gallery. There are a ton of things I would do differently if I had the time and the knowledge. Meaning, I’d love to keep the simplicity and make it more dynamic. Maybe that will come while I go through classes at Portland State University. The number one thing I’m curious about is typography for the web. It is a bit frustrating not being able to tweak as I do in Quark or InDesign.

Oh, and there is an upgrade coming to SlideShowPro so if you are curious about it, I highly recommend it. SlideShowPro Director has an easy-to-use admin interface so updating images is seamless. And, as a newbie to Flash, I was able to follow their screencasts to make some tweaks. It’s amazing the ways in which this tool can be customized. Check out the Show & Tell Forum.

Time to make a list of things I’m hoping to learn in class!
