Want to help 100 leading photojournalists and millions of other Americans document life at home in America?
Rick Smolan and Jennifer Erwitt, the creators of America 24/7, One Digital Day, 24 Hours in Cyberspace and countless other books have partnered with IKEA to produce, America At Home: A Close-up Look at How We Live.
They invite you, the public, to help document life at home in America this week only (September 17 - September 23) by using your cell phones and/or digital cameras. Details and ‘Assignments’ can be found at myamericaathome.com.
Also: America At Home will be published by Running Press next Spring (2008) and will feature the personalized covers that made America 24/7 such a hit. If you are not familiar with personalization, it basically means that you will be able to upload a photograph of your choosing and have that image (of yourself, your family, or your friends) made into a cover that will wrap around, America At Home.
So sign up online, make pictures, and may it be published!
