  • Featured on Coroflot and DTG

Every once in awhile, I do a Google search of my name.
That may sound really strange and I like to keep tabs on where I’m showing up. Being online, I feel its a periodic necessity similar to checking my credit score.
So, a few days ago I did a search and much to my surprise I [...]

  • Tweakings Around the Office

Fall term classes for the Certificate in Multimedia Design at PSU ended last week (wow) and now begins the spring cleaning in December to prepare for the onslaught of classes beginning in January.
If you haven’t noticed, I designed and added a new favicon as well as a logo for Cococello, my design studio.
    Cococello (dot) com [...]

  • One year Anniversary

My husband brought me a Norfolk Pine tree one year ago to mark my big day. It was his way of giving me encouragement and the support I needed as I took the leap into the world of the self-employed.

The tree has grown and so have I. Wow.
    Thanks babe.

  • SlideShowPro + SlideShowPro Director

As a newbie in all things web I’m sure my latest discovery, SlideShowPro & SlideShowPro Director is nothing new but for any photographer who is not aware of this great component for Flash, check it out!
I’m about to purchase a license and hoping to get a gallery of my invitation designs online soon.
    Stay tuned.

  • What’s in a Name?

If any of you have visited more than once, you have probably noticed that I have had some trouble figuring out a name for this blog. In fact, the whole what-to-name-your-business exercise has been quite challenging for me.
So, late last night, in an effort to maintain consistency and clarify identity, I came up with Coco [...]

  • Marika and Ben’s Wedding Invitation

As a gift, I offered to design a dear friend’s wedding invitations and here it is:

    Two details:

Marika’s choice of colors — eggplant ink and chartreuse envelopes — complemented each other nicely. I was excited because I was finally able to use one of my favorite typefaces: Centaur. I just love the swash capitals.
    I’m looking forward [...]

  • Forks in the Road

It’s been a long time since posting. My husband and I have had some seriously big decisions to make and after nearly 4 months, we found resolution. Whew.
We each had great career opportunities — one at a prestigious magazine; the other a prestigious position at a university — we could not make either work for [...]

  • Back to WordPress

Well, I’m back here with WordPress on my own domain and thinking this could actually work out.
Maybe I wasn’t in the right frame of mind or maybe, as my husband says, “Your eyes are bigger than your stomach.” (He knows me so well…) but I tried using WordPress about a month ago and felt utterly [...]

  • Climbing out of the valley

It’s been such a busy week of tweaking QuickBook files for my accountant and finishing up a magazine assignment that I don’t think I have stepped out of the house other than to feed the neighbor’s cats. Not good.
Working from home is rather odd that way… The upside: I am really productive; I get a [...]
